Disneyland

Yesterday I decided last minute to take the kids to Disneyland. Ethan got a nice surprise when I picked him up from school. We usually go any chance we get, but for some reason we just haven't gone in a couple months? I decided to pack lite, meaning my kids and my purse and a pull-up. I hate taking tons of crap with me. NO stroller either! Caden walked most of the time, and the other...well lets just say I burned a few extra calories. Hey I am not complaining at all!

What can I say!

I can never turn back now. I have ben using apple products for 5 years and will never go back to anything else. NEVER! I love my Imac computer, It's fast, reliable, and gets the job done with perfection especially for editing photo shoot pictures.

I love my Iphone.. I upgrade to a higher model every chance I get. I love that I can use it for Pretty much everything when I am out and about. I SO can't wait to get the Iphone 5!

I also own the Ipad.. I just sold my Ipad to my sister and upgraded to the Ipad 2. not much of a difference except the fact that it has a built in camera and face time which I love. The kids grandparents always face time the kids before bed time. They only live 40 minutes away but the kids love it.

My kids love my apple stuff.. Ethan has been able to navigate and use the internet since he was 4. He loves to play on Nick and other kid games on the internet. He is so smart! My phone and Ipad get used by my kids more than me. He is pretty amazing with navigating the Ipad! He was using it since he was under two, he knows how to pretty much navigate through it. They LOVE to play games. Caden Favorite app right now if the Talking Tom. Its Hilarious watching him have a conversation with this cat. I actually have video I will post of him arguing with Talking Tom. It cracks me up!

Apple will always have my heart.. that is until something better comes along..

A Little...

I was raised in a small town of Running Springs, CA with my parents who are still happily married! Yes I am proud to say that! It was a small community packed with tons of stuff to do. I loved Snowboarding. I went as often as I could, plus I had to keep up with my then boyfriend who was a pro snowboarder and his friend Matt Hammer who is still hitting the slopes as a pro. There is truly nothing more amazing then flying through the air on a board after hitting a jump or hauling down a slope going top knotch, It's the most amazing experience and I can't wait to take my kids, secretly so I can start going again.. SHhhhh.. Actually my first job was at Snow Valley, where I met and hung out with the the whole band of Blink 182 and Calvin Broadus AKA Snoop Dog since they were regulars up there. I also was friends with Michelle Quan who is a champion ship figure skater, we hung out a lot in photography class The school I went to was called Rim Of The World, a school with 95% white kids. You don't see that anywhere else..lol and is the school of a lot of celebrity kids and future stars. Obviously.. I also loved to hang out on the docks by the lake at Lake Arrowhead and not to mention the Village was a popular place to hang out. I ditch school a lot and would drive down to the beach with friends, of coarse we would have to sneak pass the security of the parking lot which was not easy.Good times good times...

I am a really easy person to talk to and the most fun hang out with. Like I said before you can be my friend or my worst enemy and what I mean by that is I tend to hold grudges and have a bad temper when my buttons are pushed to the max. My attitude is easy going and layed back, unless you hurt me. Then that's another story. I would definitely call myself a smart ass though, I love to mess with people. I love to have fun, get into some trouble and I only drink to get drunk, which is very rarely. I do consider my self very smart, sometimes I don't realize how much potential I have. It can get me into a lot of trouble. Usually I say mean things to people, but I don't mean it.. It's usually to get a rise out of someone who has been rude to me. I am a quick apologiser though because I really do care about people.

I wouldn't treat family that way.

My style is..well I don't have a style because I am so focused on dressing my kids at there best. Spending money on myself makes me feel selfish. That's just the kind of person I am. I am a layed back jeans/tshirt/flip flop kind of girl, Hello! I do live in California! I LOVE color but will never abuse it in my wardrobe. Yes.. I care what people think. Maybe I don't have to look at myself all day but every one around me has to, I do have some respect for what people have to look at. I don't wear allot of make up, just around my eyes to make them pop. I can't stand to see people who look like that have crap caked on there face. It's disgusting really and So bad for your face!

My husband is awesome.. I really have no complaints about my life. He gives me what ever I want with out a question, that's besides the new car I get every year. Yea still working on that one.lol.. We travel a bunch and I am lucky enough to stay at home to attend to the kids, Model, Blog, and review baby products for big companies that I get to keep or give away, what ever I choose. I think I can officially say that I have had every baby product you can think of..

My kids.. Well they are kids.. They throw tantrums and talk back. But when I tell them some lady is going to pick them up and take them to a far worse place they instantly change there attitude. Though they do come up to me allot and tell me they love me. My kids are spoiled but not to the point where they are going to be little shits. I don't dress them in Prada, or Vera Wang. Think about it, you dress or give them the high end stuff now imagine when they are teenagers! They are only going to want the best stuff which means your wallet will be empty. I definitely don't want to raise spoiled rotten kids who will grow up to high maintenance. My kids don't need clothes to make them look
cute anyways, they already are! I get stopped by a stranger almost every time I go out to be told I need to get them into modeling. I Know I know!

I love Shopping.. I can't emphasise that enough. But I love shopping for my my family or kids. I found a new love of extreme couponing. I'm telling you.. I am good at everything I do! I can shop but get tons more! Like today.. Target my total was $239.. With coupons I paid $80.89! It's not like I don't have money, but before couponing I would go shopping and get two small bags of stuff and It would be like $100! It was very dissatisfying. Now that much will give me a cart full of expensive stuff!

Music is a big part of my life, I love every type of music.. ok well not country. If it gives me chills or makes me dance you can definitely find it in my Itunes. Blink 182 has been my #1 favorite, I just never get sick of them. The second is 30 Seconds To Mars! Amazing! Those are the bands I like, the ones that can keep my soul going.I love Adel! Can you believe that I thought she was black! This was before I have ever seen her, just heard her music. Really tired of Justin Beiber, my kids love him..I tried to like a band called 100 Monkeys, even forced myself to see them in concert.. But don't like there music at all even live. Actually one of the main reasons why is because all the fans are there to see Jackson Rathbone, that's it. He tried to use his so called "fame" to promote the band in hopes for instant success. But as I have seen it does not work that way. They didn't have a big following before and all the sudden when people found out that he was in the band now they have a big following of " Twilight Fans" not "100 Monkey Fans". Maybe that's a reason why they never used there music on any of the Twilight soundtracks? Guess they are not that good & guess he's not that popular.. Especially since they are playing small venues where the mediocre & retired bands play. Would much rather see Robbert Pattinson play. Wow! He's amazing. My point is I follow bands who are true to themselves.

Well, I did it.. I traded my Mercedes in.. She was only a year old..

Now, Why you ask... Well I thought by getting a smaller car would be easier, and what I mean by easier is cheaper gas prices and compact. But as the year went by the kids grew a little and the back seat became crammed. With Caden's car seat and Lauren's Booster there was barely enough room for Ethan. This also cause allot of fighting. I was over it...

I have never owned a Chevy so I am excited to see what this car will do. There is SO much room that my kids can be separated. I especially love my black leather seats ;).. I have had leather seats in the last 3 cars I have owned and I will never go back..lol..

What a great Christmas this year! We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning at my parents house this year, as much as I love having Christmas at home it's so much better when your surrounded by family and love. The kids made out this year as always.. I seem to go over board every year, BUT.. Since couponing I got most of the toys 80-95% off. Yea me!

We spent a little time at my parents Christmas morning before we had to rush home to prepare for a last minute gathering/dinner at my house with my hubby's side of the family. We were all supposed to meet at his grandmothers house but she last minute decided she did not want to host the get together. So I offered.. yes I was a little stressed about cooking a feast, mainly because I have never had to do it. Thankfully it turned out perfect, you know cause once you have a whole bottle of Lambrusco in you before every one shows up, you kind of don't give a shit..lol

Well I hope every one had a wonderful Christmas! Now... my Birthday which might I add is on the 3rd!

Drum Sync Academy At Victoria Gardens

Yesterday was the perfect weather to bake the cookie plates for the neighbors, I made an assortment of cookies, candies and even a bread loaf. It was my first cookie plate and I have to say I did a mighty fine job. The weather was sunny but we had a bout of rain, there was also the most beautiful double rainbow that my kids spotted right out side our patio! The pictures do not do it any justice.

Dolbin happen's to be the newest member of our family, well for about a month out of the year. Dolbin is our new Elf! He comes every year and watches the kids all day, then at night when the kids are sleeping he reports back to Santa to tell him is they were good or bad. Dolbin returns in the morning in a new spot! This morning he decided to hang out on the tree topper. I have to say since Dolbin arrived at our front door sitting on his book the kids have been surprisingly good! Every morning they run down stairs to find where Dolbin is! This is truly a fun tradition.

Every day until Christmas Eve when Dolbin goes back to the North Pole I will post

Ebay Listing fee's out of control

Let's talk Ebay today..... and maybe some paypal...

I used to love listing items on Ebay... Not so much any more..

Ebay has a fee for everything now! I sold an item for $700 a month ago and noticed paypal took out about $40... then Ebay took a total of $44.50 for Final value fee AND a $1.50 Final value fee on Shipping! Really!! Shipping!! I packaged and shipped the item for $53. Which means Ebay & paypal took an estimated total of $80 in fees!!!!! What!! So... If ebay sellers are going to be honest and charge the correct amount for shipping they still are going to be under because of that fee. So now as sellers, thanks to ebay fees we now have to over charge on shipping or the item to cover the cost of the fees? Or is it going to be a never ending of the seller loosing money because the higher we raise the price the higher the fee?!

I love selling on Ebay... but I think I am going to have to retire.. Tired of the high fees..

Now lets talk shopping on Ebay!! Really sellers! Ebay was meant for shoppers to buy things at DISCOUNTED prices! I always compare prices before shopping and was outraged to find that things on Ebay are 50%-70% over priced!!

For example.. my son wants a pair of Lego Walkie Talkies.. Amazon sells them for under $30 with free shipping.. Ebay over $50 and $4-$6 shipping! Do they really think people are stupid, or are there actual idiots out there who don't care? It's not hard to price match, all you have to do is Google the item and the lowest price will show up, though I have found that Amazon always has the lowest prices. Then I go to Ebay to see if any are cheaper than Amazon.. Like I said I used to love Ebay.. but I seem to make more money off Craigslist! I am officially done selling on Ebay!

We Saw the Big Guy on the Polar Express!

So after a long 6 hour drive to Williams Arizona we finally made it. The kids slept the whole way
therewhich made the drive much more enjoyable! We left about 8:30 am and arrived in Arizona about 3:00pm which left us enough time to walk around the very small town and brows through the shops. My sister was having way to much fun..lol

It was finally time to head back after spending a whole whopping 15 minutes on the town. We managed to go in one shop, pretty much the only shop on the block. It was still fun though, I love all the neat items they sell in those cute little shops. The hotel we stayed at was right nest to the train depot, it's like all in one, every thing kind of works together to give it that christmas feel. They have huge buffet dinners and breakfast, which I have to say was delish! They have shops full of Polar express items and the whole area around it full of Christmas lights, decorations and beautiful horse carriages. We had decided to eat before we headed back to put on our PJs for the train.

After taking over the whole lobby with photo shoots we decided to take it out side
and enjoy the bitter bitter coldness and wait to board the train!

ALL ABOARD!!!!

The Polar Express train was awesome! They sand songs, gave out cookies and
hot chocolate and Even met Santa! The kids were so excited!

As tired as we all were from that amazing experience we had just a little bit of energy to play

with the snow before we walked back to the hotel.

The next morning we woke up at the butt crack of dawn to eat a huge buffet breakfast then watch an old
western show and then start our 2 hour trek on the train to the Grand Canyon.
It was freezing by the way!

We get to the Grand Canyon and it's even more cold than in William's and on top of that it was

raining for a short duration of the time. I thought two sweaters and a shirt on each kids would keep them warm but ended up having to buy more sweaters! Even though the weather was bad and this was my first time visiting the Grand Canyon it still took my breath away.

The Polar Express

Finally the Weekend is here! What do we have planned you ask? Well we get to

go to the Grand Canyon to ride the Polar Express

To meet the BIG GUY!

Besides the major colds and sore throats the kids are excited! I finally took

the kids to the doctor today just in case and the doc did a throat culture for strep. We wont know

until Monday but just in case she put the kids on Antibiotics. It figures though.. some one always gets sick before a trip.. In my case it's two. Poor things are miserable

Well looking forward to the trip and can't wait to share out experience!

Another Day....Another Pumpkin...

It's that time of year again to hit up the pumpkin patch! Honestly... the only reason I like

going to these these is for cute photo ops. Other than that they charge way to much for pumpkins

and the fun stuff for the kids like the bounce houses, pony rides and mazes were outrageously priced.

Now I am not cheap and have money.. but come on $6 to slide down a bounce house slide once!

I felt bad for the kids but we made it up to them and went for pizza after words.

Oh and I have to mention.. my dad FINALLY got a new car. He literally runs his cars to the ground and he ran is Honda accord well over 300,000 miles. He loves his honda's and upgraded to a newer model with all the bells and whistles too..

Crock Pot Turkey Chili

I have never made chili before and finally decided it's time!

Now the ingredients are below BUT if you want to make enough for left overs just

double the Kidney beans and the Black beans and keep the rest of the ingredients the same.

There is nothing like a lazy Sunday when you have a meal cooking all day in the crock pot and the aroma of food is in the air, or coming home from work on a weeknight and having dinner ready when you get home. I love my slow cooker and this chicken chili is a delicious, low point, high fiber meal. It's so easy to make and it is great over rice, with multi-grain chips or with corn bread, topped with low fat cheddar cheese or low fat sour cream. This makes a lot and it is even better the next day for lunch!

Ingredients:

1 1-2 lb pkg turkey meat

1 onion, chopped

1 16oz can Black beans

1 16oz can Kidney beans

1 8oz can tomato sauce

10oz package frozen corn kernals

2 14.5oz cans diced tomatoes w/chilies

1 packet taco seasoning

1tbsp chili powder

Chili peppers chopped ( optional)

Directions:

Brown meat with onions.. while waiting for the meat

Combine beans, onion, chili peppers, corn, tomato sauce, chili powder and taco seasoning in a slow cooker. ADD cooked turkey meat and stir mixture all together and cover. Cook on low for 10 hours or on high for 6 hours. Top with fresh cilantro. Also try it with low fat cheese and sour cream or corn bread.

This was a hit with my family.. I gave a ton to my neighbors who loved it and wanted the recipe! This will be made allot more during the winter ;)

Fall Festival with Drum Sync Academy

Blink 182 Concert Hollywood Bowl

The Blink 182 concert at the Hollywood Bowl was amazing! Well except for the teenage girl who had the most ear wrenching scream you can imagine who was sitting behind us.. The seat we had were fairly far from the stage but I managed to get some decent pictures.

The first band played was Matt and Kim.. Pretty good if you ask me.

People were handing out the hilarious masks and of coarse we made fun!!

I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!

Next up was My Chemical Romance.. I love them ;)

Then Blink 182 came on! I have loved this band for well over 15 years and can honestly say they are still my number 1 favorite band ;)

This was in the car waiting to be let out.. When they have big events like this they get so many cars that they stack park you.. which means that your blocked in until the cars surrounding you leave.. I was going to get veldt but we ended up getting there much later than anticipated... So did the other thousands of fans.. It was a mad house trying to figure out where parking was! It was crazy I tell ya!!

OK.. so we couldn't get over the fact that these face masks are hilarious...So hilarious that I had to make yet another video! This one cracks me up ;)

Every now and then my sister and I try to think of fun and unique things to do with the kids,

my brother in law had mentioned going to a little lake/river in Yucaipa. So I went with it. We had to park off the road, a little freaky if you ask me, then walked to the fantastic....... dried up lake bed.. Yes...I said dried up lake bed... it looked more like a sand dune. .Something that would be super fun to take the kids mo-peds on..lol.. We made light of the situation and let the kids play and I was able to get a couple picts in. We made it up to the kids by taking them to get root beer floats. That seemed to work just fine. Now were home and thinking of jumping in the pool... you know... since the lake was all dried up and all.

Fine!!! I'll do it!!!

Literally every time I go out some one comes up to me to tell me how cute my kids are and that I should get them into modeling. Yes... I have thought about it but also don't want to be one of those moms who think there kids are cute " which they are " and not so cute to every one else. The other day I decided to make a few phone calls and sent out some emails..

Well Next day I get a call from a management company and they want to set up a meeting time. Well that was fast...A little to fast? I don't know, I am still learning who to trust who who not to trust. I know what to look out for and am NOT paying a dime out of my pocket. This company seems pretty reputable and did some research and am pretty satisfied. I am very excited to see what they can offer us.

Today I was at the grocery store and what do you know.. as I was checking out a lady came up to me and said " Excuse me "... I'm thinking great what did I do now? She was so excited and amazed at the same time. She said, your son is gorgeous!! You need to put them in print ( modeling). You need to find him an agent now! I explained to her that I have an appointment Wednesday to meet with manager in LA. She couldn't stop gushing and seemed very satisfied with my answer. Now when this happens I honestly don't know what to say.. It's kind of awkward.

So.. if this happens this will be a new journey in our lives and can't wait to see where it takes us! Will keep every one updated!

X Factor Premiere Preview

WOW!! What a fun night! I got VIP tickets to the X Factor Premiere in L.A. I thought it would be a simple event... nothing major. I knew Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and the rest of the Judges on the show would be there, but assumed it would be low key, so as my mom and I drive by the event to park we were surprised to see red carpet, TONS of news vans and paparazzi's and people everywhere. I think our excitement just jumped by ten points. It was intense but the feeling of being on a movie set brought back memories of The Fast and The Furious. I miss it.

We parked the car and notice there are thousands of people waiting in a line.. I'm thinking...great... so I go and ask security if I was in the right place, since I was VIP and all and had reserved seating I had a feeling I was not suppost to be standing in line and I was right. I believed they had two theaters one for the regular guest to watch the premier and another for the high profile guest (where we were).So my mom and I get in and were handed bags filled with goodies and are put into a room, while most of the other people waited out side to come into the theater my mom and got to wait inside right in front of the door where the celebs would be walking through! Below are just a couple picts I was able to get before my camera battery died. Pictures are in order as they arrived.

I was able to talk to L.A Reid as he walked in and Paula Abdul signed a banner for my mom. I didn't get any picts of Simon Cowell because my camera died and by that time, since it takes forever for them to walk down the red carpet they were making people take there seats in the theater.

This is where I felt like a VIP, my mom and I are in this theater surrounded by high profile guest and we were sitting 7 rows back from the judges and I even spotted Perez Hilton a couple seats in front of us. The awesome part about this premiere is we were able to watch the first season of The X Factor, we were the ONLY ones in the world to see it! Let's just say I can't wait for the show to start next week!

We had a blast and I am so glad I got to share it with my mom!

100 Monkeys Show in Anaheim

I have been waiting for the 100 Monkeys show for months. Last night my sister and I went to the House Of Blues In Anaheim, CA to see them play. Now if you know me you would know that I'm really not a fan of concerts, not that I don't enjoy going it's just the type of people it attracts at the kinds of venues, lets just say it was the heavy set girls who are obviously OBSESSED and collect troll dolls and old ladys with no teeth.. Not judging or anything just saying...

I had a blast anyways and obviously way to many cocktails..lol.. I took tons of pictures and at the end of the show we were able to meet the band and have stuff signed, I obviously had them all sign my hat and the tickets. The security was awesome there, I was able to get them to let me front stage to take pictures.. That was an experience in it self.. I was so close yet so far!

For those of you who don't know who 100 Monkeys are.. If Jackson Rathbone rings a bell he is a Cullen brother in the Twilight/Newmoon/Eclipse and Breaking Dawn Movies.

Yesterday we decided to go to the beach with our Neighbors, we were supposed to go to Emerald Bay but once we got there we noticed it was a private beach. ( if any one lives on or has access to a private beach that we can go to in Southern California next time please let me know). So.. Back to my story.. we ended up going to the overly populated Laguna Beach. Parking was a mess and it took me a good 20 minutes to find meter parking. The plus to this.... the meters now take credit cards!! Yes.. on the actual meter! They need these every where! So here are some pictures of our time here in Laguna.

What a fun weekend and it's only Saturday, is that possible?

This is the trouble we got into...

Well just some of it....

Thursday we decided to take the kids to Lego Land, Since we had two buy one get one free coupons to both Lego Land and the water park we thought..Why not.. and not only that is was our anniversary! Though we had to plan our day accordingly because we had to do both parks in one day. We decided to hit up Lego Land first.

I have to say though I was a little disappointed with the age/height requirements on the rides. I had to sit on the sidelines with Caden most of the time. Even though I know he could have gone.

After the water park we went back into Lego Land to finish up our day. We had planned on getting a hotel in Carlsbad and go back to Lego Land since they had an offer going that if you buy a park hopper then you can go a second day for just $10 each. We decided not to do that considering that offer lasts 9 days after we buy the tickets, So we can always go back. We totally shifted our plans and decided to get a hotel in Anaheim and go to Disneyland the next day.

I was totally craving sea food so before we headed to Anaheim we went to Joe's crab shack. Love it there!

What Could be Just As Fatal As Texting While Driving??

I would assume that you would not guess this one right?

Well believe it or not, Speaking from experience, it would be this....

If you have not guessed it by now, I am talking about looking over your shoulder to change lanes.

I would assume you do it..Right?? I mean you don't change lanes without looking and it would be to dangerous to just use your mirrors due to blind spots right??

Tons of teens have died in car crashes just by texting 3 letters.. Just 3!! That amount of time from not looking at the road is about the same time your eyes are off the road to turn your head to make sure no cars are next to you in the other lane so you can safely switch lanes.

Yes.. this has happened to me. So I know. I was driving on the freeway and there was not heavy traffic. I went to go look over my shoulder to safely change lanes and before I even turned my head back to the road I had rear ended someone. Not even enough time to break. Luckily it was not bad and no one was hurt. I just didn't understand why it happened?

So Yes.. I think that taking your eyes off the road period is dangerous even if your changing lanes.

So be careful and leave lots of space between you and the car in front of you. even when your in stop and go traffic your odds are higher of rear ending someone when you try to change lanes.

Shannon..I think you need a wake up call on life...Making those guys be your daughters God Fathers just to keep them in your life simply because you think they are "celebs" is sickening. You rarely even mention the other three and only focus on J because he is more popular than the others. Not only that what in your right mind would make you decide that they are even responsible and ready? I think you are using them for attention and fame, actually I know you are cause you said it yourself...

Your blog followers and twitter followers don't give a shit about you, they are just trying to get closer to you to get closer to J. I can see right through you. But I would assume that you don't care either. I am sad that your not making friends for yourself on your own and have to use others to build you up. Bribing people to follow you on twitter in exchange for pictures of you and J. WRONG..You said you weren't popular in school, now I understand why. Your nothing with out J, I know the truth hurts but some one has to say it. I really feel bad for J because he is getting used from an attention getter as your self and a money hungry girl such as his former GF. It's wrong and he deserves better. Just because you hung out with him like twice in high school does not make you guys BFF's now.
